How it started.
I moved to Sydney from NYC over 10 years and haven't stopped creating since. It's the laid-back lifestyle of Australia that inspires me. Although, to be truthful, it took me years to appreciate. I'm a big city gal at heart. But, wow--the sea, sun, cuisine, people, slang, and heritage of this land are truly wondrous. Like no other.
After attempting to plop dozens of shells in the trash (we had a party and ate way too many), it dawned on me that I should be re-using & creating something with them. The shapes are truly beautiful- -only nature could create something so perfect yet with heaps of faults. So, after a bunch of ideas (and a lot of trial and error), I decided on decoupaging them...and literally never stopped.
You'll often find me in my pyjamas painting shells early in the morning or until the wee hours of the night...and my son, Cooper, is never far away ;)

Decor and more.
Made from repurposed Australian shells, you can place the dishes on a console, in a tray, or on top of stacked books, for a gorgeous home accent. Use them as a salt cellar at your dinner parties. Plop jewellery in them on your dresser or bedside table. Or even store rubber bands and paper clips in them on your desk. (They really make wonderful gifts.)
And the ornaments can be hung anywhere- on the windowsill, door handles, cabinet knobs, vases, bottles, and, yes, Christmas trees.
These creations are handmade from re-purposed shells.
They are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, and all materials used to decorate are non-toxic.
